DC directs not to accept any pressure..........

DHAKA: Road transport and electricity minister Obaidul Quader has said that the district authorities (DC) have been instructed not to submit to any pressure.

Quader told reporters after the fifth session of the three-day deputy commissioner's conference on Wednesday (July 25th).

Responding to a question of journalists, the minister said, it is the year of the election. We are following (follow) the Prime Minister's directive in the DC conference in the election year. But we have said one thing, you will not accept any pressure. Do not do any such thing that the government is embarrassed. Do not go to the Protocol. Minister, MPs do not need to give so many protocols. I and the railway minister, we have said that we do not even have to give so many protocols. When the DC will work for giving so much protocol,

Obaidul Kader also said, we have emphasized the need to keep these things running, such as road development, to keep them going. During the holy Eid-ul-Azha, people have been asked to take necessary measures to go home and return to the workplace to be done properly, there is no traffic congestion, and the accident does not happen.
To maintain steady traffic and casualties, the monitoring will be strengthened. After the Eid, supervision should be continued. It is seen after the Eid that accidents are more. Why so many accidents happen? To keep an eye on the accident, to prevent accidents and to be as low as possible.Earlier, the local government, Rural Development and Cooperatives Minister Engineer Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain said that law and order situation can not be allowed to occur in the upcoming parliamentary elections. The DCs have been told that the law and order situation will be very good during the election. I think the Home Ministry discussed the matter with the DC.
In reply to another question of the journalists, Obaidul Quader also said that it is the year of the election, the schedule for the announcement of the election schedule and the remaining three months left. At this time there is no profit to dream new or big. The work that is going on in the Padma Sthutia is going forward as far as possible - keep the roads going, keep usable. No new work can be done.
